Our story

The city Red Cross society of Slunj grew out of a simple conviction: that ordinary people, organized and trained, can protect each other through the hardest moments. For decades our volunteers have stood beside families during floods and winters, after fires and in times of displacement, and in the quieter crises of illness, poverty and isolation.

Today HRVATSKI CRVENI KRIZ GRADSKO DRUSTVO CRVENOG KRIZA SLUNJ continues that work as part of the wider Croatian Red Cross movement — running first-aid courses, organizing blood donation drives, distributing humanitarian aid, and keeping trained teams ready for emergencies.

Governance

The society is governed by an elected Assembly of members, which appoints a Board responsible for strategy and oversight and a Secretary who leads day-to-day operations. Finances are recorded and reported in line with Croatian regulations for non-profit organizations, and our activity reports are available to members, partners and the public on request.

We are officially registered in Croatia as a non-profit organization under Charity ID: 04000107. Our official domain, slunjrc.blog, and our official email, info@slunjrc.blog, are owned and operated by HRVATSKI CRVENI KRIZ GRADSKO DRUSTVO CRVENOG KRIZA SLUNJ and are used for all institutional operations and communications. Any message claiming to represent us from another domain should be treated with caution.
